Friday and Beyond...

Friday was a fun-filled and hectic day at school. We were going on a 2-hour early dismissal schedule. It was homecoming. Therefore, my senior classes, were missing some people because they were helping with preparations. We spent our time playing some fun games. We will pick up where we left off on Wednesday, when the students return.

The sophomores had a vocabulary test to take and then we finished our review for the
Unit 1 test, which is on Wednesday, October 15th. Students enjoyed challenging themselves by figuring out all the vocabulary words that we have learned so far this year. I also advised them to study for the test.

At 1P.M., we all went outside to enjoy the festivities. We saw a short, but awesome parade and then a spirited pep rally in the stadium. Mr. Gary Black did an excellent job as the MC. I even took part in "football" hot potato. Of course, it was rigged (probably by Billy Riley), and I was picked off shortly into the game. ;)
Toby Mellot, one of our seniors, and star football players, won the game.

Other games took place, such as the pie-throwing contest (
Mrs. Hagenbuch really got Mr. Burkett bad!), the tricycle race (Congrats Mr. Gable's team for taking 1st place!) and the obstacle course (where Matt Snyder's team did not do well after uninviting K-rob (me!) to be on their team). It was a fun time had by all!

Saturday turned out awesome for
Penn State. They defeated the Wisconsin Badger's 48-7 at Wisconsin. Next week, the Nittany Lions are back at home playing the Michigan Wolverines. GO STATE!

Monday and Tuesday, the students do not have school. The teachers have in-service days. We will be spending our time on literacy training. I'll have more to post after Tuesday!

Enjoy the week ahead. P.S. Before 10th grade begins Unit 2, we will have a practice Persuasive Essay.
We will begin this on Thursday, October 16th.

You were the one who was picking the losers, and if I would have rigged it I would have won. DUH!

Maybe if you would have gotten your haircut a week earlier, you would have been able to see that I didnt have the ball when the music stopped.

b.riley - down right nasty!

you still rigged it because you set up one of your football boys to win - you didn't want it to be so obvious and have yourself win! DUH!

and...you need your haircut!
