Every Friday, Room 137 (10th graders) enjoy 4Sight practice for the reading section. The students this Friday received 5 multiple choice questions concerning the story, The Leap. We worked on these together in class, discussing the right answers, the evidence from the text and why the other responses would be wrong. Then, students had to write an open-ended response question using 3 examples from the story to explain how the title was appropriate.
If they completed this in class, they placed their responses in the homework basket and continued working on the storyboards.
The open-ended responses are due on Monday, October 6th along with the storyboards! Next week, we are discussing setting and its elements and beginning the story The Pedestrian.
