12 Applied Communications got introduced to their Chapter 2 projects. They had three options to choose from. All of them involved completing an expanded definition whether it be a career, a technical term or ethics (quality or excellence). They began brainstorming through a graphic organizer on Friday. The graphic organizer help them to consider subject, audience, purpose, mode, and questions that the audience would ask. This organizer is due Monday, October 20, 2008.
10th grade College Prep had their brainstorms checked for their Persuasive (Practice PSSA) prompts. It was a writing day. This means the students got all period to write their rough drafts. This also gave them an opportunity to share and talk with me. The final draft is due tomorrow, Monday, October 20, 2008.
10 grade Applied Comm (Period 4) finished their in-class example together. They then had to choose one of the three prompts to use for their own writing sample. They were given a brainstorming graphic organizer. This helps them to get the content together before they begin writing their rough drafts. The organizer is due on Monday, October 20, 2008. Period 7 10 AP COMM did not have class because of the Activity Period Schedule. They will resume class on Monday.
