Today, we began our practice persuasive essay. The students had three prompts to choose from. They are only going to choose one prompt and write on it. The prompts were School Uniforms, Locker Searches and Too Much Homework. We read over the prompts together. After this, we went over the requirements and expectations for this essay.
AP COMM 10 students we went over an example of one of the prompts with three supporting reasons. They will choose a prompt tomorrow and begin brainstorming in class.
English 10 students chose a prompt and began brainstorming with a graphic organizer in class. They are expected to complete this first step for tomorrow. We will then begin working on rough drafts in class.
