Review of The Opportunity & Everyday Use

Wednesday, Grade 10 students discussed the story, The Opportunity. Together, we went over crucial higher level thinking questions pertaining to character and characterization (direct & indirect).

Thursday, the students made a graphic organizer writing down character traits about the three main character: Maggie, Dee & Mama in the story, Everyday Use. I read the story to the students.

Today in class, students got a 4Sight Practice. Mrs. Keifman (my co-teacher) found a story off of Study Island called, the Letter that Changed my Life. We have five multiple choice questions and an open-ended response question for the students. The open-ended response questions deals with the author's purpose.
Students will take the actual PSSA test on Friday, November 7th!
