Students continued reading The Pedestrian by Ray Bradbury. We discovered that the story might be reflecting on society and how technology might be taking over everything in our lives. The students and I had an engaging conversation about television, reading, writing, and entertainment. We also added to our setting lists as we read more of the story. We are almost finished reading this story. Tomorrow in class, we will finish reading it. Then, we will have vocabulary practice. We are going to write a short story dealing with setting and mood. We are going to begin reviewing for the Unit 1 Test Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday. We will not have a 4Sight practice this week. The Unit 1 test will be on Wednesday, October 15, 2008. Then, we will be writing a practice PSSA persuasive essay.
