Wednesday - October 8:
Students in 12 AP COMM came up with a job of interest yesterday. Then they wrote down 12 technical terms that a person in this job would use. They then shared these terms with the rest of the class. They were then instructed to choose 8 of the 12 terms
to make into three-part sentence definitions. This was to be completed for homework.
Thursday - October 9:
Today, the students handed in their homework. Then the students received their grades so far for the marking period. After this, we read about politically correct terms. We had a brief discussion about this. Finally, students read about the expanded definition. This is a more thorough definition provided for audience members than the three-part sentence definition. Students then read situations where they had to predict at least 3 questions that the audience would ask about each situation. This was assigned as homework.
